Ken Maely is a Speedway icon. We was known as the "Hot Shoe Man" as he made the steel slide shoes for all the top dirt trackers and speedway stars of his long era. Ken passed away a few years ago and tonight we get to remember a guy that helped a lot of speedway riders learn their craft at Ken's private track.
The Second Division Main was won by Ricky Valdez, closely followed by Joey Holt. Butch Waymire, American Airlines pilot, won Third Division.
Jimmy Fishback won the Scratch Main, making it look easy. His dad, Jim Fishback Sr. was a major star at the old IMS, back in the day!
